As Vestar has expanded globally, we’ve pursued a path we call “one firm, one fund, one culture.” We manage a single investment fund for all of our portfolio holdings, whether they be in the United States, Europe or Japan. And we share a common set of core principles and practices that guide our employees and advisers wherever they may be.

This international strategy means there are no artificial barriers between our offices or our people. A portfolio company in Europe looking to expand to Japan, for example, has unfettered access to Vestar’s Asian resources. And when that European management team arrives in Tokyo, they’ll find a Vestar team that works as one with the team back in Paris or Milan or Munich. The culture and the principles are the same.
